In 2008, I started Antero Automotive with one technician, a few lifts, and more faith than money. Over 16 years, I built something I was genuinely proud of—not just because of the revenue, but because of the people inside it. Four technicians, two service advisors, a parts manager. A team that actually worked together.

That was always the real work.

In 2024, I sold the business. And what I discovered is this: what I loved most wasn't running a shop. It was building one. Building people. Shaping a team with intention and watching them transform.

That's what I do now at One10.

Andy Emery

I work with shop owners and their teams who are tired of just surviving—owners who want to build something real, and young operators stepping in ready to get it right.

I help technicians become leaders. I help service advisors find their confidence. I help teams shift from just a workplace into something that actually works.

The shops that thrive have great culture and solid systems.

My approach is grounded in 16 years of real shop experience. I know what it costs to build a culture. I know what it feels like when the systems actually work. I know the people side—the hiring, the developing, the failing, and the growing. That's what I bring to every conversation.

Leadership isn't management. It's getting your hands in it, understanding what's really holding you back, and building systems that create lasting results. Culture and systems work together. People matter most.

The automotive industry is changing. Retiring owners, young operators stepping up, everything shifting. The shops that thrive won't just have good numbers. They'll have great culture and solid systems. I'm here to help you build that.

When I'm not coaching, you'll find me fly fishing somewhere new, traveling in an RV with my family, or supporting the Zoe Project in Ethiopia—work that's shaped my life in ways I'm still discovering.

If you're a shop owner working

in your business

or a young operator building something real, let's connect. I work with people who care about their team, want systems that work, and are serious about measurable results. This is work that matters.

instead of on it,

Why I Do This

I see shop owners every day who are carrying the weight alone. They've built something real, but they're trapped inside it. Their people are capable—genuinely capable—but without the right culture and systems, that capability stays locked up.

That's what drives me. Not the past. The future.

I know what happens when a shop gets it right. When a technician discovers he's actually a leader. When a service advisor finds her confidence. When a team stops just showing up and starts building something together. Everything changes—the shop runs differently, the numbers reflect it, and people actually want to be there.

Most shop owners think they need to work harder. They don't. They need clarity. They need systems that work. They need people who are equipped and confident.

They need to stop being the hero and start being the leader.

I do this because I believe that's possible for every shop. And I'm not interested in watching capable people and solid businesses stay stuck. The automotive industry needs more shops with real operations and strong systems. That's what I'm building toward.
